Who is eligible for services with STAY of Georgia?

We serve children, teens, adults, and caregivers across Georgia — families in crisis, caregivers raising relatives' children, survivors, and households working toward stability. If we are not the right fit, we will say so honestly and point you somewhere that is.

How do we get started?

Send a service request through this site, call our office, or use the Need Help Now button. A coordinator schedules a no-cost conversation to learn about your household and outline the options available to you.

What does it cost?

Most programs are free to families, funded by grants, contracts, and donors. Counseling accepts Medicaid and most major insurance, with sliding-scale fees when insurance does not apply. We review costs with you before anything begins.

How quickly can support begin?

We respond to new requests within one business day. Crisis intervention responds the same day. Ongoing programs typically begin within two to four weeks of an approved plan.

Is what I share confidential?

Yes. Records are kept confidential and shared only with people you authorize, with the narrow legal exceptions for imminent danger and mandated reporting, which we explain up front.

Do you serve rural areas of Georgia?

Yes. We serve metro Atlanta in person and reach the rest of the state through telehealth, partner agencies, and mobile outreach days. Contact us with your county and we will confirm current coverage.

Do you work with DFCS?

We partner with DFCS and the courts, and we also serve families with no agency involvement at all. Working with us does not open a case, and we explain clearly what we must report if safety is at risk.

Are your services accessible?

Accessibility is a design requirement for us. Our office and program sites are step-free, interpretation is available on request, and this website is built to WCAG guidance.
